Jane Eyre

Jane EyreJane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

well, I suppose that not all considered great books can be found like it by everyone. This book is not a surprise (unlike her sister's "wuthering heights" was) and is kind of deceiving going through the description of Jane's life and find out that nothing breathtaking really happens. The characters are not really interesting (beside Jane's temperamental and decisive way of being), and Jane's deceived way of living her life is tiring. It looks like her life it's wasted, and she only find a reason to life through that love she feel about a man she didn't understand but felt in love with. There's one interesting thing about this story: those two character's aren't the typical beautiful, desired by everyone kind of man nor women. those was two regular persons, with a particular kind of personality that live their life, on our planet earth.

This book was an immediate success when it was published and her sister's books was unmindful by the then England's readers. today I found this book just not that important and not at all overwhelming. after those two disappointment ("one hundred years of solitude" and "jane eyre") I think my next book will be a history or scientific one.
