O Contrato Social

O Contrato SocialO Contrato Social by Jean-Jacques Rousseau

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Society is made of people. People and rules, and respect and above all: tolerance. We're all different and there's as many societies as there's persons in the world. We are free. free to choose want we want from our lives and free to do it, and that's wonderful! we're no slaves and we don't live at war (for some of us this is not true, unfortunately). but society changed a lot, as the centuries passed by, and now we're living peaceful times.
We vote! (not all societies in the world) even if it's a regular behavior since Greek era, it's different now. things have changed, not always in a good way, but things tends to evolute. there's roman republic election system particularities that was good but not followed (the representative question in this book) and bad things from that time that lasted for long time.
Thanks to Rousseau to show that to me, in his particular and humbly way :)

deeply recommended book,
A.
